Any suggestions as it relates to what I should have my son or daughter do over the summer to prepare them for next season with the CT RiverHawks?
Good question, as it relates to hockey, focus your efforts and money on skating. Give some thought to private skating lessons in lieu of many of the camp options open to you. Your son or daughter will gain confidence and enjoyment from the sport of hockey faster by learning to skate properly. Other sports.... you bet.... Have your kids play baseball, soccer, LAX, etc. as their primary sport over the Spring and Summer. These sports develop the young body just as well as hockey does and it helps keep things in perspective.
